I always have a dendency to read way far into the videos that Bastille releases because they always have made me think of every option with their videos and i have been obsessed with them since before they where famous. Anyway, that aside, what i read from this is a reporter who has HIS news to share and wants to report the news his way but maybe his bosses are telling him to follow the teleprompter. The fact that the logo goes red is either rage, or a sign of power. It also goes blue. If you watch.

So we have a bit of both of the colors meanings. Blue sympolizes trust and confidence and loyalty. So, again maybe i am reading too far into it, but it must have something to do with it. Also I am beginning to wonder if maybe their videos for this album will follow a story.

Cause that would just be awesome.:).
Watch as Bastille's Dan Smith explains the dark inspiration behind one of the band's biggest tracks. Bastille's Pompeii was the fourth single to come from their debut album, Bad Blood. Everything started as Dan's losing his mind trying to following someone (foreshadowing the meaning of the song Oblivion) and ended up losing himself (this could be literally or metaphorically as what him drowning in Bad Blood video could mean). Denial and Anger. The girl in Bad Blood, I believe, is in the denial stage. As she is seen living in Dan’s house (could be a metaphor of Dan’s memories).
